CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES : Any one of the following activities is compulsory for the I and II year undergraduate degree students.i) N.C.C. ii) N.S.S. iii) YRC iv) Physical Education. Every student must put in 75% attendance in each semester in the activity chosen by him so as to become eligible to appear for the examinations at the end of the semester.

CONTINUOUS INTERNAL ASSESSMENT : The Continuous Internal assessment for under-graduate courses shall carry 25% of marks for the theory papers and 40% for the practical. The continuous internal assessment includes the following components with marks shown against them.

UNDER GRADUATE COURSES
1. LANGUAGES
Test 20 Marks
Quiz or Composition or both 5 Marks
25 Marks
2. OTHER SUBJECTS
Test 20 Marks
Quiz 5 Marks
25 Marks
POST – GRADUATE COURSES
Test 25 Marks
Assignment 5 Marks
Seminar 10 Marks
40 Marks

RIGHT OF APPEAL : In case of dispute with regard to any valuation, the student may appeal for revaluation and such complaints shall be referred to the Department Review Committee.

EXTERNAL ASSESSMENT : Ordinarily all papers of external examinations shall be of three hours duration. For all the theory papers in the external examinations excluding Part IV Papers, there will be independent double valuation, one by the internal examiner who shall normally be the course teacher and the other by an external examiner. If the difference between the marks awarded by the Internal and External Examiners is less than 15% the average of the two marks will be taken as the final mark. When the difference exceeds 15% there shall be a third and independent valuation.

PROVISION FOR REVALUATION: In view of the double valuation adopted for the terminal examinations, there shall be revaluation of answer papers of the terminal examinations.
